PARIS HILTON LIVES AN IDEAL LIFE
A friend of mine exclaimed heatedly, "Paris Hilton lives an ideal life!" And she does in this glitter portrait.

DO ANIMALS LIKE ART?
For an exhibition at The University of Dallas I created this series of drawings. Given the opportunity how would animal attendees regard an art opening?

MY LOVE, YOUR LOVE
Two Malawian men were condemned by the public for their marriage. I got married around the same time. For an exhibition I created a scrapbook of my wedding narrated with passages from The New York Times article about the heated response to theirs. The incongruous responses to love are troubling.

SHOP AT MAO'S BARCODE
In 2007 The Kansas City Star published an editorial lambasting Macy's for appropriating the communist red star as their new corporate logo. With the amount of Chinese products on Macy's shelves this emblem seems perfectly appropriate.

I'M LOVIN' IT? (2009)
In 1904 Tui Manua was the last Samoan matai (chief) to sign a treaty with the United States and therefore confirmed creation of the new U.S. territory. By the 2004 centennial the McDonalds on the small Polynesian island was one of the most profitable restaurants in the chain worldwide. The restaurant reproduced my original painting, i'm lovin it? (2004), in a newspaper advertisement without my permission. This is a Photoshop reproduction of the original work of art.
